What Origem Verificada is

STIR/SHAKEN is a set of standards for digitally signing the origin of a call, so the terminating carrier can confirm that the displayed number is legitimate. In Brazil, adoption happens through Anatel’s Origem Verificada (Verified Origin) program. Anatel Resolution No. 777/2025 sets the obligation, and ABR Telecom acts as the certificate authority for the certificates used in the signatures.

The problem

Authenticating calls involves the voice network, digital certificates and new signing and verification components. All of it must work without hurting call completion.

How we approach it

  • We assess the carrier’s voice network and current systems.
  • We design where calls are signed and where they are verified.
  • We integrate certificate management with the certificate authority.
  • We test interoperability and the impact on call completion.
  • We support operations after go-live.

What you get

  • A compliance plan for Origem Verificada.
  • Implementation or integration of the signing and verification components.
  • Monitoring and operations documentation.
